we will take you on a photography safari through the northern everglades looking for interesting birds, wildlife and landscapes. no long hikes are required but comfortable shoes are suggested and short walks are sometimes necessary to get a good photo. we provide lunch and drinks. dress appropriately for the daily temperatures. bring your camera and binoculars. trips vary with the availability of worthy targets but plan on being out all day. our outing begins around sun-up but timing is flexible. we will meet some where on SR 27 in western Broward or Palm Beach Counties again we are flexible
our peak birding seasons are generally fall, winter and spring. we have an influx of migrating species here at that time. summer can also be good especially if you want to see caracara, red shouldered hawks, swallow tailed kites, white tailed kites and all our herons and egrets. summer trips are usually shorter due to warm conditions and afternoon rains
for observing a good pair of binoculars is a good idea. a dslr camera with a telephoto lens is needed for good photographic results. a 300mm lens is a good starting point but in birding bigger is always better. I use canon equipment and I have an extra canon 100-400L IS mk2 available for canon camera users.
bring sunscreen and wear sun glasses, comfortable clothes and shoes. there will be some short walks through brambles and brush. I'll bring lunch and drinks but feel free to bring any snacks or libations you like.
daily rate is $600 for 1 or 2 people
lunch and drinks can be arranged
